Are you passionate about nature and love working outdoors? Do you have a knack for tree maintenance and preservation? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! As a Tree Worker, you'll play a vital role in keeping our town beautiful and safe. You'll be responsible for organizing, scheduling, and executing tasks related to tree maintenance, working closely with a dedicated team to ensure our trees and foliage are well-maintained and thriving. The Town of Stow Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified candidate for full-time, 40 hours per week, to join our team in the Tree Worker position. Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with one to two years of related experience, or any combination of education and experience. Candidates must have and maintain a valid Class B CDL license. Additionally, Massachusetts hoisting licenses 2B and 4G9 are required, with a 2A Hoisting License preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of DPW equipment operation, construction, and maintenance procedures. A Pesticide applicator's license and Arborist license, or willingness to pursue, strongly preferred. Starting salary for FY25 is $29.04/hour and for FY26 $29.91 /hour depending upon experience and licenses.
