The Stow Fire Department is currently accepting applications for immediate openings for PerDiem Firefighter/EMT positions. The purpose of this position is to protect life and property by performing firefighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, and fire prevention duties for the Stow Fire Department and other related work as required. The Per-Diem Firefighter is responsible for maintaining and improving upon the efficiency and effectiveness of all areas under his/her direction and control. This position is compensated as a scheduled part-time service with a Fiscal Year 2025 starting hourly rate of $23.68-$25.51 depending on experience. Required qualifications • Firefighter I/II Training • Nationally/Massachusetts Register EMT • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license • High School Diploma or GED • Good Interpersonal skills - Ability to work with others. • Good communication skills • Strong desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment • Organization skills • A satisfactory background check The Town of Stow is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
