Summary
Field Service Technician will be responsible for supporting YMC customers with onsite services including system installation, preventive maintenance, and qualification testing of YMC’s process equipment. This individual will be working closely with our project teams, engineering staff, and system end users to verify each system meets their required specifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities

  • System setup for testing with required tanks, hoses, and testing equipment.
  • Configuration setup for various instrumentation transmitters.
  • System commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Assemble standard testing protocols with required adjustments.
  • Execute and provide oversight of commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a positive customer experience during system testing.
  • Support continuous improvement withing the systems group.
  • Up to 50% travel may be required for onsite services.
Qualifications
  • Must possess or can obtain a valid state driver’s license, and U.S. Passport.
Required Experience and Knowledge
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to use various powered and non-powered hand tools
  • Knowledge of engineering documentation, P&ID’s, GAs, and electrical design documents.
  • Experience with MS Office products. Word and Excel is required.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
Preferred Skill and Experience
  • 1-3 years of process equipment experience preferred.
  • Electrical and controls experience is a plus.
