Job Title: Banquet Bartender – The Groton Inn
Location: The Groton Inn, 128 Main St, Groton, MA 01450
Hours: Part-time (20–35 hours/week); Some am shifts may be required.
Compensation: $8.00/hour + tips

Reports To: General Manager, Banquet Manager, Food & Beverage Leadership

We are currently seeking a Banquet Bartender who is professional, reliable and eager to deliver a first-class experience to our clientele. You bring your enthusiasm and experience, we provide full training on our service standards and The Groton Inn experience.
Position Summary
As a Banquet Bartender, you will support our event operations. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, setting up and breaking down bar stations for events and ensuring exceptional guest service at all times. You will work closely with our Banquet Manager, culinary teams and fellow service professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, professional service
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and guest preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout service
- Assist with banquet bar setup, execution, and breakdown as outlined in Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
- Follow proper service techniques and responsible alcohol service policies
- Engage with guests, answer questions about offerings, and suggest pairings when appropriate
- Communicate clearly with kitchen and event staff to ensure seamless service
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Accurately handle payments, tips, and POS operations
- Complete side duties including cleaning, restocking, and equipment maintenance
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including allergy and sanitation awareness
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Prior beverage or bar experience required
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong listening, observational and interpersonal skills
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
