Financial Specialist
Career Opportunity: Financial Specialist
Location: Leominster, MA (On-site)
This position will be based out of our Leominster Branch and floating to other close-by branches as needed.
Westford Branch Hours: Monday – Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM; Thursday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Candidates will be required to work a flexible schedule based on branch operational needs.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $25 - $30 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
Position Summary: As our Financial Specialist you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while accurately and efficiently processing various financial transactions, such as performing teller transactions, opening new accounts, completing, processing, and closing consumer and home equity loan applications.
General Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent service to members.
- Process all member transactions efficiently and accurately including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and transactions for other WCU products/services.
- Identify the financial needs of new and existing members by building rapport and establishing strong business relationships and make qualified referrals to partners.
- Open and service all types of WCU deposit accounts.
- Perform duties related to consumer loan origination and closing of loans following WCU policies and procedures.
- Assist members in submitting Mortgage and Home Equity loan applications.
- Balance cash drawer and make settlement of the day’s activities following Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Provide coverage in other WCU branches as requested by management.
Qualifications:
- One year of prior Retail Banking experience is required.
- A working knowledge of Teller functions and responsibilities is required.
- HS diploma or equivalent required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
