The Town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for two 6 hour/week Library Assistants in the Reuben Hoar Library. Responsibilities include the circulation of materials to and from the public through integrated library system transactions.  Ready reference and reader’s advisory skills preferred.  While primarily responsible for working at the main circulation desk, must be willing to work with all departments (Children’s, YA, and Adult) as the need arises. Nights and some Saturdays required.

High School Education or GED; experience working with computers, in a library, or in a public service position helpful; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Some heavy lifting (30-50 lbs) may be required.   Ability to lift and shelve books in high and low places.

The starting pay range is $22.76 - $23.91 per hour, commensurate with experience. This is a non­exempt position governed by the Employee Handbook and Personnel By-Law (Grade 4 under the Town of Littleton Classification and Compensation Plan Schedule A.)
