Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry Spring into Action 5K – Huge Success!
We are pleased to announce that the Spring into Action 5K, held on May 1st, was a huge success! This event raised $20,000 for the Pantry which will help provide nutritious groceries for our neighbors in need.
It was a beautiful day for a walk, with over 50 individuals and teams participating at the live event held at Rogers Field in Devens, in addition to many others who participated virtually. Our volunteers, the heart of our organization, did an amazing job organizing, setting-up and cleaning-up. A big thank you goes out to our host MassDevelopment for their support and use of their grounds. Our Sponsors were instrumental in the success of the event and included our Gold Sponsors: Berry Global, Inc., Enterprise Bank, Friot’s Water Treatment, Kiley Brock Team – Compass Real Estate, and Rollstone Bank & Trust; and our Silver Sponsors: Jenn Gavin Russo - Compass Real Estate and Staples.
We are grateful to the area businesses who donated gift certificates – Harvard General Store, Harvard Therapeutic Massage, Union Coffee Roaster, Little Bee Book Store and All Town Fresh. We are indebted to those who walked to raise funds for the Pantry and to those who sponsored those walkers.
