ROLLSTONE BANK & TRUST DONATES $10,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS OF MASSACHUSETTS TO AID IN HOME FIRE RECOVERY
Leominster/Fitchburg, MA (March 17, 2022) -The Rollstone Bank & Trust donated $10,000 to the Central & Western MA Chapter of the American Red Cross of Massachusetts, to provide support to its Home Fire Campaign to battle the disastrous effects of home fires.
The American Red Cross Home Fire Campaign helps save lives by installing free smoke alarms in homes that don't have them, and by educating people about home fire safety.
“Home fires claim seven lives every day but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half,” said Nia Rennix, Executive Director of the Central-Western MA Chapter of the American Red Cross. “This spring, as part of our Sound the Alarm campaign, we will install free smoke alarms and share safety information in at-risk communities. We are grateful to Rollstone Bank & Trust for their support.”
Last year, the Red Cross responded to 706 home fires in Massachusetts, providing relief, recovery services, and more than $1.2 million in financial aid.

Home fires are more common than most of us imagine, and these disasters are both dangerous and costly. Last year, the Red Cross assisted 4,300 home fire survivors in Massachusetts, meeting immediate needs, and helping them get back on their feet.
