ROLLSTONE BANK & TRUST DONATES TO NEWVUE COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE HOUSING FOR AT-RISK INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES
Leominster/Fitchburg, MA (March 10, 2022) – The Rollstone Bank & Trust donated $10,000 recently to NewVue Communities, located in Fitchburg, MA, to provide support to families struggling with housing insecurity in all forms.
“We are longtime supporters of NewVue and its work,” said Martin F. Connors, Jr., President & CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust. “Knowing you have a place to call home is critical to a person’s well-being and their ability to function as part of a community. It’s in everyone’s best interest to grow the availability of housing for all, and Rollstone is proud to be a part of it.”
This year more than ever, Central Massachusetts has felt the consequences of housing instability for children and adults. Not knowing where home is negatively impacts physical and mental health – as well as a child’s education and social connections and an adult’s ability to work and care for the family. This latest contribution will help lessen the impact of housing scarcity and increase housing stability.
“Our People, Community, and Home Campaign allowed us to harness the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations to provide much-needed funding for what we view as work towards housing equity,” said Kerry Flathers, Director of Development and Communications. “We see, firsthand, the strength in people who seek our services, we know a community that supports our work through partnerships and donations, and we all understand the importance of home. We thank Rollstone Bank for supporting our work.”
NewVue Communities’ multi-prong approach will provide services for families in all housing stages, from those at risk of homelessness to those preparing for homeownership. There is a critical housing need, including affordable rental housing and NewVue’s goal is to be an impactful part of the solution. We are steadfast in our commitment to ensure equity and equality as we help shape the North Central Region into an inclusive place for everyone to call home.
