MAIN STREET BANK SUPPORTS THE LUNENBURG SKATE PARK PROJECT
Lunenburg, MA – Undeterred by the poor weather conditions, representatives from the Lunenburg Skate Park and Main Street Bank
convened at this year’s Trunk or Treat event. There, Main Street Bank (MSB) presented a check for $5,000 to the Lunenburg Skate Park, a nonprofit organization has the singular mission of raising the necessary capital resources to construct a permanent, concrete, skate, scooter and BMX facility. The facility will include a variety of obstacles and features that will cater to a wide range of disciplines and skill levels. This park will be a community asset for youth both in the Town of Lunenburg as well as the overall region. The goal this project to provide a safe recreational resource for area youth to enjoy. This asset will provide youth with a healthy outdoor alternative to other less desirable choices, such as video games, vaping, drinking and drug use. This funding will enable a driven group of youths to realize their goal of creating a sustainable recreational resource for their community and the entire region.

We are presently targeting a shovel-ready project come spring 2022 and we are just that much closer today thanks to Main Street Bank’s generosity”, said Anthony Caiozzo, president of the Lunenburg Skate Park.
