Ginny’s Helping Hand receives $10,000 from Main Street Bank

Funding to support hunger relief services and programs in North Central Massachusetts
 
Leominster, Mass.Ginny's Helping Hand, Inc., a food pantry and thrift shop serving the needs of those in North Central Massachusetts, recently received funding of $10,000 from the Main Street Group Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Main Street Bank, to benefit the services and programs Ginny’s offers for the community.
 
“We are incredibly grateful to Main Street Bank and the Main Street Group Foundation for their generous support of Ginny’s Helping Hand,” said Brandon L. Robbins, executive director of Ginny’s Helping Hand, Inc. “This grant will allow us to expand our services and continue providing critical resources to individuals and families in need. Partnerships like this are essential to our mission, and we are honored to have the trust and support of a community-focused institution like Main Street Bank.”

About Ginny’s Helping Hand, Inc.
In 1978, Ginny White founded Ginny’s Helping Hand as a way to provide clothes and other necessities to people in need. Two years later, Ginny opened a food pantry which began serving nine to eleven families daily. This was quickly followed by the opening of a thrift shop which offered affordable clothing while providing funding for the food pantry. Over the years, the food pantry expanded and now provides healthy food and other necessities to thousands of people throughout North Central Massachusetts.
