Grants of $250 to help pay for with utility, operating expenses
(Leominster, Mass.) — Fidelity Bank today announced it has provided $2,000 in grants to eight small businesses in Leominster through the City of Leominster’s Small Business Support Fund.
The fund aims to provide financial assistance to small businesses located in the City of Leominster that have been adversely affected by economic challenges.
The program offers up to 12 grants per calendar year with each grant up to $250. Eligible expenses covered by the fund include rent or mortgage payments for the business property, utilities, costs related to reopening or adapting the business, and other operating expenses necessary to sustain the business.
The following businesses received a grant of up to $250 as part of the 2025 funding: Bella Donna Consignment, Central Cup, Fabrics N Things, StyleFX Studio, Nellatiques, New Golden Wok, Empower Collective LLC, and Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
“As a community bank, we know how important small businesses are in building the foundation of strong communities,” said Towma Rastad, community engagement manager, Fidelity Bank. “We hope these grants provide just a little relief toward helping our small business owners maintain their shops, studios and stores.”
“Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella has a strong desire to support our city’s small businesses so when Fidelity Bank secured sponsorship of the city’s ‘It’s Happening in Leominster’ newsletter, we were able to create a pathway to make the Small Business Support Fund a reality,” said Amanda Curtis, economic development coordinator, City of Leominster. “It’s been a unique opportunity for the city to offer these grants as a steppingstone toward keeping our small business foundations strong.”
