Firefighter Brian Kramer is being recognized for his exceptional leadership in overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of the Maynard Fire Department’s new Engine 1. Starting in December 2021. He spent three years collaborating with manufacturers and department members to ensure the engine met Maynard’s specific operational and budgetary needs. Brian’s tireless efforts culminated in the successful delivery and launch of the new apparatus, including organizing the community “Push-In” ceremony that marked its entry into service”
Jen Adams, a proud graduate of Maynard High School and dedicated educator since 1999, is being recognized for her outstanding leadership in advancing global education in Maynard. She established the Global Scholars Program, launched international exchange programs with Spain and Germany, and expanded world language opportunities with new AP and dual enrollment courses. Jen’s efforts have boosted student achievement—marked by a rising number of Seal of Biliteracy recipients—and fostered cultural pride and community connection through initiatives like World Languages Week and the widely celebrated International Dinner”
Volunteer Recognition:
Jon Larkin is being recognized for his transformative five-year volunteer service on the Capital Planning Committee. Through his leadership, Jon developed tools and processes that formalized and strengthened the Town’s capital planning efforts, while fostering collaboration with the Finance Committee. Most notably, Jon championed the successful adoption of ClearGov, which modernized the committee’s work for a more efficient, transparent, and comprehensive system to inform future capital planning for years to come—all while dedicating countless hours behind quietly scenes for the betterment of Maynard.”
