Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production

Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Operate manufacturing equipment that supplies raw materials to the production line, and/or fills, caps, seals, labels or packages products. Removes damaged product or supplies, as needed. Maintain required product inspection processes. Performs basis troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure production equipment runs efficiently. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety.
Principal Responsibilities:  Operate and monitor line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation  Ensure package and product quality  Operate all manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely  Clean equipment and area during and after shift  Complete and submit all required paperwork

Basic Job Requirements:  High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience/Skills:  Driving a forklift (for example, performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, or maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)  Working with high-speed production machinery (for example, operating machines that produce end-user consumables or machine that manufacture food)  Troubleshooting basic mechanical systems (making minor repairs using simple hand tools)  Preparing documentation (detailing work and process flows)  Reading and using standards of operations (for example, understanding and using processes procedures, or workflow documentation)

Supervisory responsibility:  No supervisory responsibility  Provide guidance, leadership, or training to other employees (no direct supervision)  Directly responsible for supervising production/warehouse personnel  Directly responsible for supervising exempt, professional, or technical employees  Directly responsible for supervising supervisory/managerial employees

Physical Effort: Position requires lifting/carrying cases weighing between 20-45 lbs repeatedly over 10-12 hour periods. This position requires walking or standing most of the time during 10-12 hour shifts and may include stooping, crawling and crouching over and under conveyors.
