General Laborer/Mechanic Assistant
Located in Fitchburg, MA
Salary: $18-$22/hr
We are currently recruiting for a General Laborer for our client, a heavy equipment company in Fitchburg, MA. This role will be responsible for mechanical work on equipment or shop maintenance as well as be the shipper’s assistant.
Responsibilities:
- Multitasking from shipping to a mechanical assistant
- Keep the shop facility organized, clean, and safe
- Support the shipping and receiving department
- Delivering parts, tools or small equipment items around New England 10% of the time when hired on
Requirements:
- Previous auto mechanic, machine maintenance and other similar experience preferred
- Proven mechanical experience, preferably in servicing a variety of equipment
- The ability to work well as a team but also self-sufficient, motivated, and safe
- Experience with basic hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Clean driving record for deliveries when hired on (In company truck)
This is a fast pace position and a fantastic job for a motivated, high-energy person looking to learn in a fast growing company.
The hours are Monday-Friday 7AM-5PM (10 hrs. of OT weekly!)
The Pay Rate is $18-$22/hr.
