We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Summer Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This role offers hands-on experience in creating and refining documentation related to machine equipment operations. You will play a key role in drafting comprehensive work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure the safe and efficient use of machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and operators, to gather information about machine equipment functionality and workflows.
- Develop clear and detailed work instructions for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machine equipment.
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating SOPs to align with safety, compliance, and operational standards.
- Observe machinery in use to identify process improvements and ensure documentation reflects actual practices.
- Support the team in standardizing procedures across different equipment and shifts.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and equipment testing as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical writing skills with an ability to convey complex processes in a simple and clear manner.
- Interest in or experience with manufacturing equipment, machinery, or industrial processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with technical documentation tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
