Job Summary:
The Training Coordinator plays a vital role in our Career Center, supporting the design, coordination, and delivery of training programs aimed at enhancing the employability and career readiness of our clients. This position involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including career counselors, employers, and community partners, to develop training initiatives that align with industry needs and career trends.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Program Development:
- Collaborate with career counselors and employers to identify training needs and develop relevant programs.
- Research industry trends and best practices to ensure training programs are current and effective.
- Design curriculum, learning materials, and resources for workshops and training sessions.
Coordination and Implementation:
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
- Arrange logistics such as venue booking, equipment setup, and catering as needed.
- Communicate program details to participants and ensure smooth program delivery.
Participant Support:
- Provide guidance and support to participants throughout the training process.
- Monitor participant progress and provide feedback as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of participant attendance and evaluations.
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Analyze data and make recommendations for program improvements and enhancements.
- Update training materials and content based on feedback and industry changes.
Collaboration and Outreach:
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, and community organizations.
- Promote training programs and services to potential participants and stakeholders.
- Represent the Career Center at community events, job fairs, and networking functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Counseling, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and educational technology tools.
- Experience in career counseling or workforce development is a plus.
