Bookkeeper Job Description –

Role and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Reconcile all financial transactions to complete a monthly reconciliation and posting process.
- Match all invoices to packing slips/receipt paperwork.
- Apply daily checks/payments to customer accounts in business software.
- Maintain all receivables and payables in Quickbooks, assuring all transactions are recorded in the appropriate general ledger account.
- Run check-runs at least twice monthly to apply the best discounts.
- Assure all debits and credits from our bank accounts tie with expected transactions.
- Monitor accounts receivables thru an aging report, following up with any customers who may be lagging.
- Run financial reports at least quarterly for our CPA, or more often as needed.
- Submit dealer rebates as applicable.
- Update company website as needed.
- Monitor accounting and other email inboxes as needed.
- Backup business and accounting systems daily.
- Maintain/set-up printers and computers as needed.
Education and Competencies:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications or equivalent such as Word and Excel. Must be willing to learn new computer programs for sales, parts lookup, and financing programs.
- Experience in Quickbooks or equivalent is a plus.
- Comfortable navigating multiple files in various network locations.
- Proven ability to learn new skills and systems.
- Experience using computers and bookkeeping software desirable.
- IT comfort-level desired.
- Communicate clearly both written and verbal.
- College graduate or equivalent training experience in bookkeeping preferred.
