Join Nashua River Watershed Association educators/naturalists, Stacey Chilcoat and Gaynor Bigelbach, for a two-hour "Winter Tracking Workshop" on Saturday, March 5th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at the Williams Barn, 160 Chicopee Row in Groton, MA. The workshop is appropriate for adults and children ages 11 and up.
We'll explore the trails at William’s Barn and uncover the secret comings and goings of our wild neighbors. During this introduction to track and sign identification, participants will learn how to correctly attribute animal tracks; how to use the track pattern to read the “story” left behind in the snow; how to identify signs of animal activity like browsing behavior, or territorial marking; and how to match the most common animals to a location.
Program fees: $15 per attendee for NRWA members; $20 per attendee for non-members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. To register, email registration@
