Sarah Grace & the Soul
8-8-2019
Sarah Grace and The Soul are a roots band that blends blues, soul and pop/rock. Sarah Grace was on the entire last season of The Voice at age 15 bringing soul and blues music to the national stage. Each episode aired for about 8 million people. She performed songs like "Ball and Chain" by Janis Joplin/Big Mama Thornton, the Blind Boys of Alabama's version of "Amazing Grace", along with more pop leaning songs "Dog Days Are Over" and "No Roots". From mid-2018 to now she grew by 60K social media followers (37K on Instagram), debuted on 4 Billboard charts, her single debuted at #1 on iTunes Blues, and her YouTube videos attracted millions of views. She's since performed at the Halftime show for the Kansas City Chiefs, at a Houston Rockets and Houston Texans game, and continued to tour across the US.
Sarah Grace’s four recordings from her The Voice performances were released by Universal Republic Records on Apple Music/iTunes exclusively. This year a new recording of “When Something Is Wrong With My Baby” by Stax Records songwriting legend and Grammy Award winner David Porter (Aretha Franklin, Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding) was released featuring Sarah Grace, on a celebration of his Classics.
Sarah Grace plays trumpet, keys, Hammond, and has a truly great voice, especially for someone who is 16-years-old. Sarah Grace was the first contestant on The Voice to play trumpet and the first to play an organ. Hammond has since endorsed her. She's from Houston and has a great band. This year she plays Old Settlers Music Festival on the same day as Brandi Carlisle and Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival (Trombone Shorty, St. Paul and the Broken Bones) and will be touring throughout the U.S.
Sarah Grace has been performing since she was 11-years-old, she's been working on a new album, and has a full set of songs between favorites from her time on the Voice and her well-written originals.
