30th Annual “Pie In The Sky” Thanksgiving Bake Sale for Community Servings
 
Community Servings believes in the astonishing power of food and we believe in their amazing accomplishments such as increasing production and delivery of medically tailored meals by 70% across Massachusetts for critically ill Clients since the start of the pandemic!
 
Licensed Dieticians create over 15 medical diets to help Clients fight specific illnesses such as HIV/AIDS, cancer, kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease (to name a few) and in some cases Clients are fighting multiple devastating illnesses.
 
Community Servings creates delicious, scratch-made meals with the highest quality of ingredients from food sources that are good for the economy and good for the environment. The brand new Food Campus in Jamaica Plain opened in January of 2020 serving medically tailored meals for 1,800 Clients daily and the wait list keeps growing.
 
Community Servings is helping Clients improve their medical outcomes and proving that medically tailored meals reduce overall healthcare costs by 16%!
 
Community Servings is leading the “Food Is Medicine” campaign across the country by sharing their expertise with other cities in their "Food Is Medicine Accelerator Program" and by conducting national research with three grants received from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to help change the way America feeds the sick.
 
For each $30 donation you will receive your choice of a freshly baked Apple, Pecan, or Pumpkin pie as a Thank You for helping Community Servings feed our neighbors who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. 
 
Don't need a pie? Please consider purchasing a “Pie For A Community Servings Client” and a delicious pie will be delivered for a Community Servings Client on their Thanksgiving table.  (Like previous years, each person who purchases a "Pie for a Community Servings Client" will receive a FREE car wash!  After Thanksgiving, buyers will receive a code to redeem their free car wash via email.  As a special bonus, they'll also be entered into a drawing to win free car washes for a whole year.)
 
Each Pie - or $30 donation - provides ONE WEEK of medically tailored meals for a Community Servings Client, their children, and care taker at home. 
 
Since Team PIE IT FORWARD began in 2009 we've raised over $700,000 and sold over 23,000 pies thanks to the incredible support from family, friends and clients. Not only do we have FUN in our fundraising, we roll up our sleeves to help volunteer any way we can to help Community Servings!

All pies are baked and boxed in a controlled environment for Covid-19 safety.
