This workshop is specifically designed for anyone who has ever found themselves saying “I am not creative.” I used to be one of these people until I hesitantly tried coloring in response to a meditation. I wasn’t making art, I was just making something and playing all the while! This powerful experience has led me to believe with my whole heart, mind, and soul that everyone has creativity within. Group members will have the opportunity to share art stories, explore the creative process to grow self-compassion and access inner wisdom, experience mindfulness: the present moment in creative play, hear words of poets, writers, and everyday ordinary people who embrace creative play, create a one-of-a-kind art piece in support of ongoing mindful practice.
Please note: Due to the nature of this workshop which invites hesitant creators to create, and introduces compassion practices through the creative process, participants are asked to commit to all four sessions as they build upon one another.
Group members will have the opportunity to: share art stories, explore the creative process to grow self-compassion and access inner wisdom, experience mindfulness: the present moment in creative play, hear words of poets, writers, and everyday ordinary people who embrace creative play, and create a one-of-a-kind art piece in support of ongoing mindful practice
