Learn about our newest project and get an update on SPARC!👋
Innovation is always in motion at Commonwealth Fusion Systems and we are eager to share one of our newest projects! We're welcoming the community to our campus on Thursday, August 7th, to learn about a new temporary R&D facility we plan to build on our Devens campus: the Fusion Power Systems Research Center. This project requires a Comprehensive Plan Approval from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection; we have attached a Fact Sheet with additional information. You'll hear directly from Kyle Metzroth, the Principal Technical Project Manager for the Center. This temporary facility will help CFS finalize designs for one of the key technologies needed for a fusion power plant: the capability to extract heat from the fusion machine and convert that heat into electricity.
Following the update on the Fusion Power Systems Research Center, we'll offer a tour of our SPARC facility, which is really coming together! We're opening our doors for a special meet & greet with our team and an up-close tour of what will be the world's first commercially-relevant fusion energy machine.
We'll start welcoming registered guests at 4:45 pm, the last entry to the event will be at 5:15 pm, and the event concludes at the completion of your tour.
Click the title above or this link to RSVP. Registration is required and we strongly encourage early registration.
